She was originally a from a convent out on here pilgrimage to see the world and write and sketch the things she saw. Also at levels 1-3 a crossbow is not too different from EB. If you really do want EB from the get-go then going Warlock earlier on isn't going to be too bad.

I have only myself to blame as I completely and royally, even with the forewarning my DM had given to another player, screwed over my evil party when I betrayed them (was evil, but lawful evil and had sword featly to my life, the king). When I did they weren't worried, I was, after all, a bard.
